1st United Methodist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at 1st Church.

Small Groups
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are.  1st Church believe small groups allow for more in depth study and focus on various topics facing all ages and spiritual situations.

Shower Ministry
Serving the homeless in the community, the 1st Church Shower ministry offers hot showers, clean underwear and clothing, along with haircuts and a healthy meal to individuals in need on the 1st Sunday of the month.  Donations are always appreciated of new unopened packages of underwear and socks.  Clothing donations, along with food supplies are also appreciated.  If you would like to volunteer for this ministry, please contact the church office for more information.

United Christian Women's Group
1st Church Women's Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women's groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

United Methodist Men's Group
The United Methodist Men's program at 1st Church allows for men of all ages to fellowship and grow in the faith.  UMM holds monthly fellowship meetings with special programs.  They also serve the church in various outreach programs, such as the monthly pancake breakfasts.

Youth Ministry
The United 4 Him Youth Ministry for 6th through 12th grades is led by Tim Buck.  1st Church youth participate in community outreach programs, seasonal campus clean up days, church dinners, and annual mission trips.  Our focus is to provide scriptural knowledge while nurturing a spirit of service to God and community.  Bible lessons are taught in such a way where your teen  is able to participate and learn.  The youth ministry of 1st Church is recognized for their close interaction and fellowship.
